Rehabilitation

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy helps improve mobility, balance and function, reduce pain and increase independence.

Helping increase range of motion and flexibility, and providing instruction in safety, fall prevention and mobility are examples of the services provided by physical therapists.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy helps people perform their activities of daily living and regain their maximum function. The “activities of daily living,” or ADL’s, are the basic tasks of everyday life, such as eating, bathing, dressing, toileting and transferring.

Through the use of specialized techniques and training in the use of adaptive equipment, occupational therapists can help residents achieve greater independence.

Speech Therapy

Speech therapy helps people recover from injuries affecting speech, language, swallowing and cognition/memory.

The speech-language pathologist helps improve speech, language and swallowing.

Vitalstim® therapy uses electrical current to stimulate the muscles responsible for swallowing. Vital Stim is the most advanced technology in swallowing therapy. Our Speech Language Pathologists are all certified and trained in Vital Stim Therapy.

Respiratory Therapy

Respiratory Therapy assists individuals with breathing difficulties to reduce fatigue and increase tolerance in performing daily activities.

Our rehab program helps patients with moderate to severe breathing problems overcome the physical limitations resulting from their disease.  Our staff will work with the patient to determine the best system for their lifestyle and provide education and support.
